C.F. MARTIN 1833 SHOP - STORE POLICY


30 DAY SATISFACTION GUARANTEE

If you’re not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it for a credit of the purchase price to your credit card within 30 days of receipt.  All returns are subject to inspection.  Fees will be deducted from your overall credit if the items are not returned in its original condition (*special orders and instruments with added modifications are not eligible for return)

 

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

RETURNING A DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE PRODUCT

A damaged or defective product may be returned for a full refund. Martin Guitar will provide a prepaid shipping label to cover freight costs. Products are considered damaged or defective at the discretion of Martin Guitar.  If damage is found to be caused by the consumer, this may affect the refund.  All returns require a Return Authorization (RA) number to receive a shipping label.

Aside from reported damages or defects, all returned items must be in their original condition, and shipped in their original packaging with no signs of wear, damage, dinging, or scraping and include all original manuals, booklets, accessories, etc. (if applicable).

 

WHAT IF I AM SIMPLY NOT SATISFIED WITH MY PRODUCT AND WANT TO RETURN IT?

All returned items must be in their original condition with no signs of wear, damage, dings or scrapes and include all original packaging, manuals, booklets, accessories, etc. (if applicable). Returned items not in their original condition may experience re-conditioning/restocking/handling fees.  Special orders and instruments with added modifications may not be returned. The refund will be debited the cost of shipping the instrument back to Martin Guitar.

 

POLICY FOR SPECIAL ORDERS & INSTRUMENTS WITH ADDED MODIFICATIONS

All sales are final for any special orders and instruments with added modifications once they have been placed.  Examples of added modifications are pick-up and strap button installations.   If you receive a defective instrument, please contact the Customer Service Team at 888-433-9177with details of the instrument and the defect.  Defective instruments shall be subject to the Martin Guitar Limited Lifetime Warranty, or Martin Guitar One Year Warranty, as applicable.

 

RETURNS PROCEDURE

HOW DO I MAKE A RETURN?

All returns require prior authorization from Martin Guitar and a valid Return Authorization (RA) number.  Martin Guitar will issue a shipping label for your convenience. The cost of shipping your return to Martin Guitar will be deducted from your overall credit.  Items returned without a valid RA number will be returned to you.

Contact the Martin Customer Service Team at 888-433-9177 Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm EST to obtain an RA number and a prepaid return shipping label.

  1. When calling, please have your order number ready, your email address, as well as the name on the credit card used in the transaction.
  2. After receiving your RA number and return shipping label, place the merchandise in its original packaging, remove the original shipping labels, and apply the new shipping label to the box, ensuring that the RA number is on the label.
  3. Drop off the package at any UPS shipping location or schedule UPS to pick up directly.
  4. You will be able to track your package using the UPS tracking link.

Martin Guitar will process refunds within 7–10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item(s).  Refunds may not appear on your credit card statement until the following billing cycle. 

CHANGE OR CANCEL ORDER

Unfortunately, if the shipping process has been initiated, we are not able to change, cancel or stop the shipment. Upon receipt, however, you may return the item (subject to the return policy terms).


SHIPPING

Free Standard Shipping for orders over $50 applies to Continental U.S. only. (excluding Alaska and Hawaii)

$50 order value is calculated after all applicable discounts and before any applicable tax or shipping cost.

For expedited shipping - additional charges will apply and orders must be received by 10am EST during a business day to accommodate expedited delivery windows. 

Bulk Items – Including, but not limited to: barstools, guitar kits, guitar cases/bags, and branded messenger bags. 

Some smaller items under 3 lbs. may ship USPS and will not be trackable.

SHIPPING FEE SCHEDULE

Martin Guitar reserves the right to modify shipping rates or cancel orders at any time.  Instrument or bulk item orders that include small goods will ship at the instrument or bulk items rate. However bulk item shipping costs are STACKED ON TOP of instrument rates.

NOTE:  Items from one order may ship separately. Martin Guitar is not responsible for late shipments caused by weather, carrier delays, or any other causes beyond our control. Actual delivery times may vary depending on your location.

 

BACKORDERS

In an effort to better serve you, Martin Guitar is currently only taking orders for items that are in stock and ready to ship to your door.  If the item you are interested in is in stock, you will be able to place it in your shopping cart and continue to check out.  If the item is out of stock, you will not be able to add it to your cart.

 

HOW TO ORDER

Simply choose the items you wish to purchase and add them individually to your shopping cart. Each time you add an item, you'll be able to view the entire contents of your cart and order subtotal. When you are ready to checkout, click the “View Cart” button and proceed to the secure checkout area.

NOTE:  All Guitars are shipped with signature required, so please ensure the delivery address you provide is one where someone will be available to sign for it.

 

PAYMENT

Martin Guitar accepts American Express, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover.  A pre-authorization charge will appear on your account for the full amount of your order. This pending charge will be removed once your order is shipped.

 

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

We will take orders for small goods to ship internationally.  While we truly appreciate your interest, we are only able to ship guitars and strings to customers in the United States at this time. Fortunately, most items featured on Martinguitar.com may also be purchased from local Authorized Martin dealers in your country or region. Please refer to the Martin Guitar Dealer Locator, or contact the Martin Guitar Distributor in your area for help finding a store or dealer near you.

 

PRICING, PAYMENT & TAXES

All prices are in U.S. Dollars (USD) and are subject to change without notice. We currently accept VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER and AMERICAN EXPRESS credit cards for online purchases.

All orders are subject to verification and acceptance before shipping. Local sales tax is applicable in most U.S. states. Sales tax is calculated at the local tax rate of the shipping address.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I am a gigging musician and would like to use the Martin guitar I purchase for at least one gig before deciding if I want to keep it.  May I return the guitar for a full refund after I use it for a gig or two if I decide it’s not for me?

A: While we appreciate the musician’s need to test drive their Martin Guitar, we only accept returns of guitars in brand new condition.  If you return a guitar that we find has been used you will be charged for any reconditioning required, which will be deducted from your credit.


Q:  I would like to buy a Martin as a gift, but I am unsure what kind of body size or tone wood to pick.  How should I go about picking a Martin for someone else?
